Kathleen Brucker, 92, of Marysville, KS, died Tuesday, November 24, 2015 at her home. Visitation is from 10 a.m. to 5 p.m. Friday, November 27, at Kinsley Mortuary, Marysville. A rosary service will be at 7 p.m., Friday at St. Malachy's Catholic Church, Beattie. Mass of Christian Burial is 10 a.m., Saturday, November 28 at St. Malachy's Catholic Church. Kathleen was born June 8, 1923 at Irving, KS, to George E. and Hannah C. (Sullivan) Moss. In 1941, she graduated from Frankfort High School and then attended Marymount College. She was a dental assistant in Kansas City and a secretary at Security Benefit Insurance in Topeka. On May 23, 1943, she was united in marriage to Dale Brucker at Annunciation Catholic Church in Frankfort. They settled on a farm north of Home, KS, and raised four children. Kathleen was a member of St. Malachy’s Catholic Church, St. Malachy’s Ladies Guild and the Social Hour Club. She was a 4-H foods leader for many years and served on the election board. Kathleen enjoyed her family, visiting with friends, embroidery, reading, cooking and was especially known for her delicious pies. Preceding her in death were her parents; her husband, Dale in 2005; and brothers, Edward Moss and Leo Moss. Survivors include children, Peggy Waite, Blue Rapids, Henry (Debbie) Brucker, Marysville, Larry Brucker, Home, Ellen (Randy) Shumaker, Wichita; fourteen grandchildren and ten great grandchildren. A memorial fund is established to be designated later. Contributions may be sent in care of Kinsley Mortuary, Marysville.
