Carlos I. Arroyo, 57, Marysville, died May 2, 2016 at the Republic County Hospital, Belleville, KS. Visitation was Friday, May 6, from noon until 9 p.m. at Kinsley Mortuary in Marysville. A funeral service was held at 10:30 a.m., Saturday, May 7 at Marysville Christian Fellowship. Rev. Brad Wicks officiated. Music played was “Dancing in the Sky” and “Ten Thousand Reasons.” The pallbearers were Carlos A. Arroyo, Angelica Arroyo, Cody Arroyo, Deano Conti, Eric Norris and Audra Naba. Burial was at 11:00 a.m., Monday, May 9, at the Leavenworth National Cemetery, Leavenworth, KS. Carlos was born at Brooklyn, NY on November 18, 1958 to Carlos and Aida (Matos) Arroyo. He graduated high school and earned an Associate’s Degree in electronics. Carlos served in the U.S. Army and the National Guard, on and off for twenty-two years and earned several medals and ribbons. Carlos drove for Schneider Trucking in Kansas City, KS and for Hall Brothers the past six years. Survivors include children, Carlos A. Arroyo, Axtell, Audra Nava, Fountain, CO, Cody Arroyo, Ana Arroyo both of Seneca, Angelica Arroyo, Fountain, CO; sisters, Mary Aponte, Florida, Carmen Arroyo, Madeline Arroyo, both of Tennessee; and six grandchildren.
