Irene A. Frese, 84, Marysville, KS, died Friday, July 22, 2016 at Community Memorial Healthcare in Marysville. Visitation was Tuesday, July 26, from 10 a.m. until 9 p.m. at Kinsley Mortuary in Marysville. The family received friends from 5 to 7 p.m. A funeral service was held at 10:30 a.m., Wednesday, July 27 at Immanuel Lutheran Church north of Bremen. Rev. Aaron T. Fenker, Sr. officiated. Kathy Pralle played the organ while the congregation sang “Beautiful Savior”, “My Faith Looks Up to Thee”, and “How Great Thou Art”. The pallbearers were Phil Landoll, Joshua Roady, Andrew Frese, Cody Schmitz, Benjamin Frese, and Adam Pralle. The honorary pallbearers were Christian Frese and Trevor Frese. Burial was in the Immanuel Lutheran Cemetery. Irene was born June 11, 1932 at Cheney, KS, to Herbert and Anna (Klinker) Rippe. She graduated from Cheney High School. In 1955, she was united in marriage to Lincoln Frese. They later divorced. Irene was a member of Immanuel Lutheran Church and Lutheran Women’s League. She was preceded in death by her parents; and son, Tim Frese. Survivors include sons, Herbert (Thida) Frese, Canoga Park, CA, John Frese, Topeka, and Markus (Elizabeth) Frese, Marysville; daughters, Miriam Rohloff, Herkimer, and Sharon (Lynn) Roady, Marysville; sister, Jean Rippe, Marysville; thirteen grandchildren and four great-grandchildren. A memorial fund is established to Lutheran Hour, Mt. Calvary Building Fund, or Good Shepherd School. Contributions may be sent in care of Kinsley Mortuary.
