Sharen May Reinhardt, 64, of Marysville, KS, died August 7, 2016 at her home after a courageous battle with cancer. Visitation was Thursday, August 11 from 10 a.m. until 9 p.m. at Kinsley Mortuary in Marysville. The family received friends 5 to 7 p.m. A funeral service was held at 10 a.m., Friday, August 12 at the Beattie United Methodist Church. Rev. Jose Eston-Cruz and Rev. Shirley Edgerton officiated. Cindy Voet played the organ while Shannon Bruna sang. Music included "Great Is Thy Faithfulness", "Angels Among Us", and "You Raise Up". The pallbearers were Russ Feldhausen, Mike Feldhausen, Tom Feldhausen, Scott Krous, Shawn Schneider, and Daren Schneider. Burial was in the Home Cemetery, Home, KS. Sharen was born November 19, 1951 at Marysville, KS, to Lee and Mildred (Pierce) Miller. In 1969, she graduated from Marysville High School. On December 6, 1975, she married Dick Reinhardt at the Beattie United Methodist Church. They were blessed with two daughters, Regan and Reily. For sixteen years, Sharen was the office manager for the Marshall County Extension Office. She offered a wealth of information of every aspect of agriculture in Marshall County to countless 4-H members and homemakers. Sharen made sure her daughters were involved in the 4-H experience and was a 4-H leader for fifteen years. The Reinhardt family was honored with the 4-H family of the Year award in 2004. Sharen ended her extension career to devote time to raising her daughters. She was a loving and dedicated wife and mother and enjoyed spending time with her family, reading, cooking, and baking. She was especially fond of her three grandchildren, who affectionately called her Mimi. Sharen was a long time member of the Beattie United Methodist Church, a Sunday school teacher and a director of Vacation Bible School. She was preceded in death by her parents. Survivors include her husband, Dick; daughters, Regan (Ron) Raub, Frankfort, Reily (Ryan) Wieters, Barnes; brother, Wayne Miller, Overland Park; sisters, Rosalie (Leon) Krous, Salina, her twin, Karen (Leo) Schneider, Marysville, Joyce (Bruce) Feldhausen, Frankfort; and three grandchildren, Jace and Dirk Wieters and Kinslee Raub. A memorial fund is established to Meadowlark Hospice and contributions may be sent in care of Kinsley Mortuary. To order memorial trees or send flowers to the family in memory of Sharen M.
