Jeanette M. Hanson, 96, of Marysville, KS, died Sunday, December 25, 2016 at Community Memorial Healthcare in Marysville.Visitation will be Friday, January 6, from 10 a.m. to 5 p.m., at Kinsley Mortuary in Marysville.A rosary service will be held at 7 p.m., Friday, at St. Gregory’s Catholic Church in Marysville.Mass of Christian Burial will be held at 10:00 a.m., Saturday, January 7, at St. Gregory’s Catholic Church.  Father Nathan Haverland will officiate.Burial will be in St. Gregory’s Catholic Cemetery.Jeanette was born May 10, 1920, at Hanover, KS, the youngest child of Frank and Augusta (Neugebauer) Seeberger.  In 1939, she graduated from Hanover High School.On August 28, 1945, she married Roy Hanson at St. Gregory’s Catholic Church in Marysville.After high school she worked for the Schwartz Department Store in Hanover, and E.W. McGrade Manufacturing Company in Marysville where she met her husband, Roy.  She also worked for U.S.D. 364 in the Food Service Department at St. Gregory’s Catholic School for 21 years, retiring in 1989.She was a member of St. Gregory’s Catholic Church and Altar Society.  Jeanette and Roy served as Sacristans at St. Gregory’s for 20 years.  She was also a member of AARP, Retired Senior Volunteer Program, Marysville Community Theater, and the Sterling Lunch Bunch.Jeanette enjoyed walking with her husband, working on picture and word find puzzles, making crafts, gardening, traveling, and spending time with her children and grandchildren.She was preceded in death by her parents; three brothers, Francis Seeberger, Edwin Seeberger, and Gilbert Seeberger; two sisters, Aurelia Seeberger and Maxine Thomas; and a grandson, Justin Marquardt.Survivors include her husband, Roy; two daughters, Jean (Tim) Benton, Grafton, MA, and Judy (Robert) Marquardt, Kansas City, MO; grandchildren, Angela Litavis, Kaylee Marquardt, Rachel Marquardt, and Joshua Marquardt; and great-grandchildren, Drew Litavis, Brendan Litavis, and Emma Litavis.A memorial fund has been established to St. Gregory’s Catholic School or Church.  Contributions may be sent in care of Kinsley Mortuary.
