Gordon G. Loges, 61, of Hanover, KS, died January 23, 2017, at Hanover, KS. Visitation was Thursday, January 26, from 4 to 8 p.m., at the Hanover Mortuary in Hanover. The family received friends from 5 to 7 p.m. A funeral service was held at 10:30 a.m., Friday, January 27, at Zion Lutheran Church in Hanover. Rev. Donna Florio and Jill Duis officiated. Mae Nieman played the organ while the congregation sang “Blessed Assurance”, “Day by Day”, “Be Thou My Vision”, and “On Eagles Wings”. The pallbearers were Greg Diederich, David Schotte, Alan Bruna, Alan Kruse, Francis Goeckel, and Don Koehler. Burial was in the Lanham Cemetery, Lanham, KS. Gordon was born March 28, 1955, at Hanover, to Elmer and Eileen (Allerheiligen) Loges. In 1973, he graduated from Hanover High School. On June 14, 1986, he married Beverly Adam at St. John’s Lutheran Church in Lanham, KS. Gordon was a farmer and stockman in the Hanover area. He enjoyed attending high school football and basketball games and traveling to Portugal and Hong Kong. He was the past president of Washington County Farm Bureau. He was preceded in death by his brother, Michael Loges; and father-in-law, Ervin Adam. Survivors include his wife, Beverly; son, Kirk (Joanna) Loges, Overland Park, KS; daughter, Erin (Chris Holland) Loges, Hong Kong; parents; Elmer and Eileen Loges, Washington; brother, David (Kim) Loges, Loveland, CO; sisters, Cindy (Calvin) Helm, Canton, KS, and Kay (Randy) Goss, McPherson, KS; mother-in-law, Velora Adam, Lanham, KS; brothers-in-law, Roger (Beth) Adam, Billings, MT, and Jim Adam, Lanham; sister-in-law, Shirley (Dave) Wiechman, Barnes, KS; and many nieces and nephews. A memorial fund has been established and will be designated later. Contributions may be sent in care of the Hanover Mortuary.
