Winifred J. Johnson

Winifred Jane Johnson, 80, Marysville, died Monday, March 13, 2017 at Lincoln, NE. Services are pending. Winifred was born July 16, 1936 at Leavenworth to Herman and Winifred (Rhoades) Riepenkroger. She married James A. Johnson and enjoyed being a homemaker and mother to her two children, Zara Jane (Janie) and John. Winifred enjoyed playing the WII and the Aggravation board game. She also bowled, liked traveling and working word search puzzles. Spending Thanksgiving and Christmas, with her family was a delight. Winifred was a goofy, happy loving wife, mother and grandmother and enjoyed spending time with her family. Preceding her in death were her parents; daughter, Zara Jane (Janie) Stephens; brother, Herman Riepenkroger; and a great granddaughter, Alyssa Crome. Survivors are her husband, James; son, John Johnson; sisters, Patricia Craig and Karen (Jake) Hull; brothers, Donald Riepenkroger and Jerry (Mary) Riepenkroger; and five grandchildren and nine great grandchildren. A memorial fund is established and will be designated later by the family. Contributions may be sent in care of Kinsley Mortuary or to James Johnson.
