Lori G. Nietfeld

Lori G. Nietfeld, 58, Marysville, died March 27, 2017, at her home. Visitation was Friday, March 31, from 2 to 9 p.m. at Kinsley Mortuary in Marysville. A funeral service was held at 10 a.m., Saturday, April 1, at St. Gregory’s Catholic Church in Marysville. Father Nathan Haverland officiated. Rosemary Forst played the organ while the church choir sang "Be Not Afraid", "Amazing Grace", "On Eagles Wings", "Song of Farewell", and "How Great Thou Art". The pallbearer were Mike Lister, Ben Baker, Noah Busch, Brody Lister, William Knabe, and Mark Jenkins. Lori was born December 30, 1958, in Leavenworth, KS, to Gerald and Nancy (Kerr) Manley. She graduated from Marysville High School. On May 8, 1976, she married Joseph H. Nietfeld. She was a homemaker, mother, and grandmother. Lori loved to cook and made the best chicken noodle soup. Lori enjoyed history, archaeology, Native American History, and Egyptian culture fascinated her. Lori enjoyed doing crafts and loved animals. But above all, she loved her family; her children and grandchildren were her everything. She was preceded in death by her grandparents; and infant brother, Michael Manley. Survivors include her parents, Gerald and Nancy Manley, Manhattan; husband, Joseph, Marysville; children, Douglas Nietfeld, Kansas City, David (Salina) Nietfeld, Home, Sally (Emily) Nietfeld, Ft. Collins, CO, and Jennifer (Michael) Lister, Marysville; sister, Joni (James) Baker; and grandchildren, Ori Mae Nietfeld Brockman, Ellis Lee Nietfeld Brockman, Brody Michael Lister, Sydney Nicole Lister, Cameron Nietfeld, Trent Johnson, and Ivy Black.
