Charles Lee Wells, 73, Marysville, died Monday, January 29, 2018 at Community Memorial Healthcare. A graveside funeral service was 1:30 p.m., Friday, February 2 at Marysville City Cemetery. Gary Phillips officiated. The song "Outskirts of Heaven" was played. Charles was born on January 16, 1945 in Marysville to Walt and Margaret (Scott) Wells. He worked for Landoll Corporation for 25 years, as a fork lift operator. Charles married Carol Maguire and to this union were born three children, Shelly, Charles “Chuck” and Kelly. Charles greatly enjoyed his family and spending time with the grandchildren and great grandchildren. In his spare time, he enjoyed fishing, working on old cars and watching John Wayne movies. Preceding him in death were his parents; half-brother, Bob Wells; half-sister, Shirley MacLeod; sister, Edith Scheibe; father-in-law, Paul Maguire; sister-in-law, Barbara Maguire; and grandson, Anthony Wells. Survivors include his wife, Carol; children, Shelly (Ronnie) Rainey, Blue Springs, Neb, Charles P. (Rakella) Wells, Beattie and Kelly (Michael) Miller, Marysville; mother-in-law, Betty Maguire; brother-in-law, Don Scheibe; and five grandchildren, Kelsey (Josh) Kenworthy, Emily Bussmann, Alex (Lacey Stock) Wells, Johnathan (Amelia) Klein and Steven (Maria) Klein; and five great grandchildren, Brayden Wells, Brylee and Joslynn Kenworthy, Joseph Klein and Kevin Klein.
