Alice E. Imel

Alice E. Imel, age 69, of Home, Kansas, passed away peacefully on July 18, 2026, surrounded by her family at Nebraska Heart Hospital in Lincoln, Nebraska.

Alice was born on April 12, 1957, in Beatrice, Nebraska, to Henry and Esther (Schwalm) Schenamsgruber. She was united in marriage to Wayne Imel on February 6, 1975, and together they shared more than 51 years of marriage.

Throughout her life, Alice worked at Blue Valley Telemarketing, Beattie Locker and Betty's Gas Station in Home City, where she enjoyed serving and visiting with members of the community.

She was preceded in death by her parents, Henry and Esther Schenamsgruber; and her great-grandson, Chevy D. Imel.

Alice is survived by her loving husband, Wayne Imel; her daughters, April Worthington (Lyle) of Winifred, Kansas, Sheri Martin of Marysville, and Lisa Grable (Jeremy) of Marysville; her brothers, Robert Schenamsgruber (Joan) and John Schenamsgruber, both of Arizona; as well as her cherished grandchildren, great-grandchildren, and many nieces and nephews.

In keeping with Alice's wishes, private burial services will be held.
