Alice M. Johnson

Alice Marie Johnson, 87, passed away peacefully July 2 at the Frankfort Community Care Home. Visitation will be from noon until 8 p.m. Friday, July 8, 2022 at Padden Funeral Chapel, Frankfort. A funeral service will be 10 a.m., Saturday, July 9 at Annunciation Catholic Church, Frankfort. Burial will be in Mt. Calvary Cemetery. Alice was born January 28,1935, to Arthur and Veronica (Smith) Lohmann. She grew up east of Frankfort and attended Annunciation Catholic School. In 1953, she graduated from Frankfort High School, and began working for Bell Telephone Company in Topeka. Alice married Kermit Johnson in 1956, and together they farmed and raised livestock west of Frankfort . Alice enjoyed sewing, gardening, and nature. She was bookkeeper for Annunciation Parish for several years. Alice was preceded in death by her husband, Kermit. Survivors include her daughter Diane, and son-in-law, Rob Wagner, Wichita; grandchildren Carly (Travis) Gratton, Austin, TX; Tom (Julius) Wagner, Oxford, UK; Ben (Ali) Wagner, Charleston, SC; great-grandchildren Matthew and Charlie Gratton, Austin; and brother Leo “Jay”(Jane) Lohmann, Topeka. A memorial fund is established and will be designated later. Contributions may be sent in care of Padden Funeral Chapel, Frankfort.
