Alice J. Sherrill

Alice Jean Sherrill, 74, Marysville, died Thursday, November 8, 2018 at her home.Visitation will be Tuesday, November 13, from noon until 9 p.m. at Kinsley Mortuary in Marysville.  The family will receive friends 5 to 7 p.m.A funeral service will be held at 10:30 a.m., Wednesday, November 14 at the Memorial Presbyterian Church in Marysville.  Gary Phillips will officiate.  Greg Marples is the organist and Pat Breeding will sing "Old Rugged Cross" and "Amazing Grace."The pallbearers will be Kim Grove, Angie Jones, Kathy Miller, Shane Roever, Summer Stelk, Ricci Beikman, Brandy McCubbin and Michele Slupianek.Burial will be in the Marysville City Cemetery.Alice was born August 2, 1944 at Superior, Neb., to Walter and Lulabelle (Whitley) Peterson.  On May 17, 1966, she was united in marriage to Tom Sherrill at Beatrice, Neb.Alice worked at the Pacific Hotel and Grandview Restaurant as a dishwasher and cook.  She did home care for the elderly and currently was working at the laundry mat.  She enjoyed working crossword puzzles, watching Wheel of Fortune, Saturday morning coffee, visiting with friends, family and neighbors.She was preceded in death by her parents; mother and father-in-law, John and Ida Sherrill; and children, Tommi and Elizabeth Sherrill.Survivors include her husband, Tom; sister, Virginia Kleen, Fairbury, Neb.; sisters-in-law, Elaine Botts and Marilyn (Gerald) Ballman, both of Marysville; brother-in-law, Laverne Sherrill, Marysville; and numerous nieces and nephews.A memorial fund has been established and will be designated later.  Contributions may be sent in care of Kinsley Mortuary.
