During high school, Ann worked as an operator at South Western Bell, a telephone company in Frankfort.  The company later moved to Marysville, becoming AT&T.  In 1979, the Marysville location closed and Ann was transferred to Topeka where she worked as a manager up until her retirement in 1990.  After Ann retired, she helped Lyle on the farm.

Ann was a member of Annunciation Catholic Church and was apart of the Altar Society.  She was also a member of Pioneers, A Volunteer Network, the largest group of industry specific employees and retirees dedicated to community service.

Ann and Lyle loved to spoil their kids and grandkids.  They would always attend their sporting events and loved to watch K-State games together.
