Anna L. Wilder, 71, of Marysville, Kansas, passed away on August 17, 2025, after a brief battle with cancer.
Visitation was on Monday, August 25, from 5 to 8 p.m. at Kinsley Mortuary in Marysville, with family present.
A rosary service was held at 10 a.m., Tuesday, August 26, at St. Malachy’s Catholic Church in Beattie. The funeral mass followed at 10:30 a.m., with burial in St. Gregory’s Catholic Cemetery, Marysville. Father Jim Shaughnessy officiated.
The pallbearers were Collin O'Brien, Sean Wilder, Brandon Dickens II, Dwayne Seematter, Daniel Seematter, and John Schreiner.
Anna was born January 6, 1954, in Marysville, the daughter of Arthur P. and Elizabeth A. (Hurla) Seematter. She graduated from Frankfort High School in 1972.
On November 11, 1977, she was united in marriage to Steven Wilder in Topeka. Together, they had three children, Stephanie, Meagan, and Derek. They later divorced.
She worked at Frankfort Care Home before moving to Topeka, where she was employed at a hospital and later at Blue Cross Blue Shield of Kansas, retiring in 2008. Following retirement, she continued serving others through part-time home health work.
Family was central to Anna’s life. She cherished time with her grandchildren and looked forward to annual trips with her siblings. A selfless and caring woman, she also enjoyed country music, attending the Country Stampede, and watching her favorite TV shows.
Survivors include her children, Stephanie O’Brien of Atchison, Meagan Wilder of Topeka, and Derek Wilder of Lawrence; nine grandchildren, Marcus, Timothy, Ava, Dublin, Rylie, Collin, Jadie, Sean and Meghan; three great-grandchildren, Brandon III, Nazir and Kaeden; and siblings, Paul Seematter of Paxico, Teresa Bussman of Marysville, James Seematter of Hoyt, Alice Wagner of Paxico, Lois Schreiner of Frankfort, and Bernice Jasko of Frankfort.
She was preceded in death by her parents; grandson, Zachariaha Wilder; and siblings, Gerald Seematter and Mary Armstrong.
