Asher Emmerson Smith, 3-year-old son of Josh and Kaci Smith, of Waterville, Kan., died Saturday, March 24, 2018 at Children’s Mercy Hospital in Kansas City, Mo.A graveside funeral service was held at 10:00 a.m., Friday, March 30, at the Maplewood Cemetery near Barnes, Kan.Asher was born on February 26, 2015 at Marysville, Kan. He is survived by his parents; sister, Lillian; grandparents, Mark and Gini Critchfield, Waterville, Rick and Brenda Smith, Lindsborg, Kan.; great grandmothers, Betty Guin, Barnes, Michal Critchfield, Waterville, great-grandpa, Don Hill, Lake of The Woods, Virginia, and great-great-grandma, Revah Stokes, Salina; and many aunts, uncles and cousins.He was preceded in death by his great grandfathers, Earl Guin and Jack Critchfield; great-grandma, Carlene Hill; great grandparents, Donald and Virginia Smith; and great-great grandpa, Glen Stokes.A memorial fund has been established and will be designated later by the family.
