Bob W. Grable

Robert "Bob" W. Grable, 60, of Marysville, Kan., died June 14, 2018 at Lincoln, Neb.A funeral service was held at 11:00 a.m., Monday, June 18 at the American Legion in Marysville. Deb Pepperl officiate.  Katie Grable sang “Dancing in the Sky”.  Other music included “Simple Man” and “Drift Away”.Bob was born January 10, 1958 at Marysville, son of Robert L. and Carol (Fulton) Grable. In 1976, he graduated from Marysville High School.In 1976, Bob married Connie Linkugel. They later divorced.In 1986, he married Grace Chism and they shared 32 wonderful years together. Bob was blessed with three sons, Scott, Jeremy and Andrew and one daughter Heather.Bob was a very hard worker. He worked for the City of Marysville for 16 years and Bob Hull Construction for 8 years. In 2001, he bought a convenience store in Home City, "Grace’s Korner," named after his wife, whom he loved and adored very much. Together Bob and Grace operated the store for 11 years.He loved to help his boys and family work on their vehicles. Bob and his best friend Dale built a car made of wood which they entered in the Marysville Car Show. He loved to teach anyone who was willing to learn.Bob loved gardening. He was always smiling ear to ear when he brought in the first pick of the season and was ready to start canning. Bob especially enjoyed growing roses for his wife, Grace, so she could enjoy them all summer long. He also loved ABATE and riding his Harley.He was preceded in death by his parents and stepmom Mary Grable.Survivors include his wife, Grace; sons, Scott (Jolene) Grable, Lincoln, Neb., Jeremy (Lisa) Grable and Andrew (Barbara) Grable, all of Marysville; daughter, Heather Ellis, Marysville; brother, James (Penny) Grable, Beattie, Kan.; sisters, Mindy (Dan) Long, Melodie Smith and Candy McKinsey, all of Alabama, and Connie Wray, Dubois, Neb.; and nine grandchildren, Katie, Alex, Tony, Ethan, Alexis, Miley, Noah, Isaac and Odessa.A memorial fund has been established and will be designated later.
