Byron L. Lewis

Byron L. Lewis, 65, of Axtell, KS, died January 6, 2022, at the Nemaha Valley Community Hospital in Seneca, KS. Private burial will be held in the Beattie Union Cemetery. Byron was born December 31, 1956, at Marysville, KS, son of Alfred L. and Ruth H. (Higbee) Lewis. He washed trucks for Studer Truck Line in Beattie, a hog farm near Seneca, and helped with maintenance at the Centralia low income housing. Byron enjoyed helping his brother by mowing grass around the farm. Survivors include his siblings, Jerry Ed Lewis, Carolyn Jean Jones, Alfred Nick Lewis, Martha Susan Lewis, James Steven Lewis, and Phillip Eugene Lewis. He was preceded in death by his parents; and siblings, Ruth Ann Winters, William Rose Lewis, David Ronald Lewis, and John Warren Lewis. Axtell-Landreth Funeral Home is in charge of arrangements.
