Caleb was born November 2, 1992, at Marysville, KS, to Richard and Sandra (McHugh) Blumer. He was practically born with a ball in his hand. Constantly bouncing it off the cabinets when his mother was making supper. Growing up he had an older sister that diligently read books to him and an older brother who taught him how to walk. He participated in every sport possible including golf, a quarterback in football, going to state his Junior year but unfortunately losing, and as a left handed pitcher throughout high school. Caleb and his brother also participated in Kids Fed for several years and wrestled in the back seat of the car, much to his family's annoyance. Caleb made many great friends throughout high school and graduated from Marysville in 2011. After graduation, he and his best friend Kiley went off to Cloud County Community College where he played baseball as a pitcher. Following that, they both finished their degrees at Kansas State University and then went on to their next adventure in Colorado. There, Kiley worked as an accountant and Caleb was self-employed with online investments. Caleb recently returned to Marysville and was working at Valley Vet. He leaves behind grandparents, Laurinda Blumer, Marysville and JoAnn Lacy, Marysville; parents, Rick Blumer (Linda Engelken), Marysville and Sandy Blumer (Blaine Hawley) Holton; sisters, Jessica Blumer, WA and Stephanie Blumer, NM; brothers, Josh Paul Blumer, Marysville, and Joshua Jackson Blumer, Lincoln, NE; and nephew, Camden Blumer, Marysville.
