Catherine Carlene Moore, 74, Marysville, died Tuesday, December 15, 2020 at Bergan Mercy Medical Center, Omaha, NE. A rosary service was 9:30 a.m., Monday, December 21, 2020 at St. Gregory's Catholic Church, Marysville, with the funeral service following at 10 a.m. Father Quentin Schmitz officiated. Musicians were Rosemary Forst and Paula Landoll Smith. Hymns were “Be Not Afraid,” “Joy to the World,” “On Eagles Wings” and “Joyful, Joyful, We Adore Thee.” Burial was in St. Gregory's Catholic Cemetery. Carlene was born to Carl and Erleine (Hardenbrook) Cohorst on April 21, 1946 at Marysville. In 1964, she graduated from Valley Heights High School and went on and earned her LPN nursing degree. Family was most important in her life. Christmas was her favorite holiday. Carlene would go to the casinos and enjoyed playing the penny slots. She thoroughly enjoyed eating her sweets and drinking her coffee. She was a member of St. Gregory’s Catholic Church and everyone knew she enjoyed sitting in the front pew. Preceding her in death were her parents; sister, Joyce Blocker; and brother, Jac Cohorst. Survivors include children, Jeff (Dawn) Moore, Miami, OK, Francine (Brent) Crome, Marysville; sisters, Carol Ann (Ray) Patterson, Auburn, Deb (Ed) Traphagan, Carbondale, Chris Cohorst, Auburn; brothers, Don (Linda) Cohorst, Blue Rapids, Tony (Teri) Cohorst, Marysville; and seven grandchildren, Johnathan Moore, Seth Moore, Brandon Moore, Devehn Moore, Tristan Moore, Tylehn Martin and Dehlyn Martin; one step grandchild, Kimble Trainer; and three great grandchildren. A memorial fund is established and contributions may be sent in care of Kinsley Mortuary, Marysville.
