Charlotte A. Conger

Charlotte A. Conger, 92, of Axtell, Kansas, passed away on April 9, 2026, at Country Living of Marysville.

She was born on March 19, 1934, in Aldrich, Minnesota, the youngest of ten children born to Bryce and Ruth (Davis) Worrall. She graduated from North English High School in North English, Iowa.

On September 1, 1951, Charlotte was united in marriage to Fred Conger in North English. The couple made their home in both Iowa and Wichita, Kansas, where Fred was employed at Collins Avionics. Charlotte worked as an Avon representative and was also a talented artist who attended shows to display and sell her artwork. In 1987, they moved to Axtell, where she came to appreciate the beauty of northeast Kansas. She especially enjoyed gardening and harvesting the produce she grew.

Charlotte was a faithful and devoted member of Jehovah’s Witnesses. She attended meetings with the Marysville congregation and found great joy in visiting with others and sharing her knowledge of the Bible.

She was preceded in death by her parents; her husband, Fred Conger, on March 15, 2013; and a son-in-law, Michael McIntosh.

Survivors include her children, Jane McIntosh of Brownwood, Texas, Joyce Ruth (William) Carroll of Wichita, Kansas, Robert (Karen) Conger of Andover, Kansas, and JoLaine (Gary) Day of Andover, Kansas; her brother, Robert Worrall; nine grandchildren; twenty-one great-grandchildren; and six great-great-grandchildren.

Private family services will be held at a later date. Axtell-Landreth Funeral Home is in charge of arrangements.
