Cindy R. Ingersoll

June 18, 1953 — February 6, 2021

Cindy R. Ingersoll, 67, of Marysville, went to her heavenly home on February 6, 2021. She was at her home surrounded by family. Visitation was held Tuesday, February 9, from 10 a.m. to 9 p.m. at Kinsley Mortuary in Marysville. A funeral service was held at 10:30 a.m. Wednesday, February 10, at Evangelical United Church of Christ in Marysville. Rev. Julie Shields and Gary Phillips officiated. Musicians were Caleb Ridenour, Nick Bussing and Wayne Kruse. The Hymns were "Old Rugged Cross" and "Hallelujah". The service was live streamed on Kinsley Mortuary Facebook page. Pallbearers were Jan Penner, Dennis & Diana Habig, Lou Wassenberg, Laura & Tommy McNish, Pat Winkenwader, Angie Hecke, Carol Wright, Judy Nickelson and Kim Mulhern. Honorary pallbearers were Corbin Ingersoll, Makayla Ingersoll, Peyton Ingersoll, Christopher Lewis and Cameron Lewis. Burial was in the Marysville City Cemetery. Cindy was born on June 18, 1953 in Marysville to Charles and Delores (Polson) Griswold. She attended school in Marysville and graduated Marysville High School in 1971. She earned an Associates Degree from Cloud County Community College in 1974. On September 22, 1974, she was united in marriage to Greg Ingersoll and to this union two sons were born, Jason and Jeff. Cindy worked for Downard’s Food Mart, Galloway, Wiegers and Heeney Law Office and retired from Marshall County Attorney’s Office. She was an active member of the United Evangelical Church of Christ, where she volunteered for any and all activities that she could including: soup suppers, birthday Sundays, ice cream socials and holiday activities. Cindy’s family was everything to her. Spending time with her family at Great Wolf Lodge, camping trips, and family get togethers were some of her favorite past times. She also enjoyed quilting, sewing, gardening, listening to music, baking, attending local activities, country cruising with her husband and spending time with her grandchildren. She belonged to the quilting club, Country Quilt Divas and also was a member of Preceptor Zeta-Chapter of Beta Sigma Phi. She was a member of her sorority for 45 years. Cindy was loving, caring, the #1 fan of her children and grandchildren, an awesome aunt and an only sister. She will be remembered by so many for her love of life, family, and friends. Preceding her in death was her mother, Delores Griswold; in-laws, John and Dorothy Hawkins; and her grandparents. Survivors include her husband, Greg of 46 years; father, Charles Griswold, Marysville; sons, Jason (Karen) Ingersoll, Lawrence, Jeff (Stefanie) Ingersoll, Marysville; brothers, Doug (Jacque) Griswold, Scott (Sherilyn) Griswold, both of Marysville; Sister-in-law, Kathy Huerter (Bill) Marysville; Brother in-laws Ron(Lois) Ingersoll Lakeville, MN, Rich (Diane) Ingersoll Northfield, MN, David (Rose) Ingersoll, Omaha NE; five grandchildren, Makayla, Peyton, Corbin, Christopher and Cameron; and several nieces, nephews and so many friends. In lieu of flowers, memorial fund has been established to be designated later. Contributions may be sent in care of Kinsley Mortuary.
