Daniel R. Paden

Daniel Richard Paden 74, Frankfort, died Wednesday, October 31, 2018 at the Onaga Hospital.A private funeral service will be held at Mt. Evans, Colorado. Daniel was born on February 3, 1944 in Marysville, to Daniel Jackson and Helen Kathryn (Fairchild) Paden.  He graduated Marysville High School in 1962, at which time he joined the United States Navy and served for 4 years, stationed in Scotland.  After his service in the Navy, Dan married Katherine Kay Hill, first living in Texas and finally settling in Fremont, California where they had two children, Daniel Paul Paden and Kay Marie Paden. Upon retirement, Dan moved back to Frankfort, Kansas where he owned and ran Goob’s Bar for 5 years.  He also enjoyed doing lawn care and volunteered at the Frankfort City Park.Many remember Dan riding his bike or walking his dog, Sam throughout town and despite only living here for a few years, Dan was liked by all and enjoyed a restful time in his retirement years in Frankfort.  Dan is survived by his two children, 5 grandchildren and 1 great grandchild, as well as his sister, Sara Colvin, and her children, Amy Jones & Paden Colvin.  To order memorial trees or send flowers to the family in memory of Daniel R.
