Darla Y. Hanrahan

Darla Y. Hanrahan, 48, of Marysville, Kan., died November 12, 2018 at KU Medical Center in Kansas City, Kan.A funeral service will be held at 11:00 a.m., Saturday, November 24 at St. Gregory's Catholic Church.Darla was born December 7, 1969, to Danny Rathe and Delores Reinert.  She attended school in Rapid City, South Dakota.  Darla worked as a Medication Aide and Certified Nursing Assistant in Sioux City, Iowa.She married Robert Whipple and later they divorced.  She married Thomas Hanrahan.Darla lived throughout the Midwest, New Jersey and Alaska.  She enjoyed traveling and exploring the back roads of wherever she was living.  She also enjoyed camping and crocheting.Survivors include her children, Andrew (Jessica) Rathe, Sergeant Bluff, Iowa, Jessica (Mohsen) Ernst, Centerton, Ark., Steven Brice, Van Buren, Ark., Ashley Whipple, Denton, Tex., and Nicole (Austin) Rathe-Tillery, Marysville; mother, Delores Reinert Duncan, Sioux City, Iowa; father, Danny Rathe; brother, Darin (Judith) Rathe, Sioux City; sister, Amanda (David) Peterson, Sioux City; and six grandchildren.A memorial fund has been established and will be designated later.  Contributions may be sent in care of Kinsley Mortuary.
