Debra S. Tjaden Harris, 57, of Herkimer, KS, died September 24, 2022 at her home. Visitation was Wednesday, September 28, from 10 a.m. to 9 p.m. at Kinsley Mortuary. The family received friends from 5 to 7 p.m. A funeral service was held at 10:00 a.m., Thursday, September 29 at Immanuel (State Line) Lutheran Church, north of Marysville. Burial was in the church cemetery. Debra was born to Delmar and Janice (Nickeson) Tjaden on October 2, 1964, in Marysville, KS. She attended Marysville schools and graduated in 1983 from Marysville High School. Debra went on to earn an associate degree. She worked as a nurse’s aid in Manhattan and later as a bookkeeper for Dixon Tire in Marysville. On October 7, 2006, she was united in marriage to Robert Harris. Debra liked watching NASCAR, Jeff Gordon was her favorite driver, KU Jayhawks and KC Royals. She also enjoyed fishing, country cruising, crocheting and her dogs. Preceding her in death was her father, Delmar; sister, Rebecca Tjaden; and nephew, Everett Tjaden. Survivors include her husband, Robert; mother, Janice Tjaden, Marysville; brothers, Brian (Teri) Tjaden, Ryan (Jamie) Tjaden, both of Marysville; sister, Tricia (Matt) Chandler, Bonner Springs; and nieces and nephews.
