Delmar E. Wilson, Jr., 62, of Marysville, Kan., died Friday, May 25, 2018 at his home near Marysville, after four years of fighting cancer.Visitation will be Tuesday, May 29, from 10:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m. at Kinsley Mortuary in Marysville.A rosary service will be held at 7:00 p.m., Tuesday, May 29, at St. Monica - St. Elizabeth Catholic Church in Blue Rapids, Kan.Funeral services will be held at 10:30 a.m., Wednesday, May 30, at St. Monica - St. Elizabeth Catholic Church.  Father Joseph Kieffer will officiate.  The musicians will be Jane Sedlacek and Denise Sandmann.  Music will include “I Won’t Let It Go”, “On Eagles Wings”, “How Great Thou Art”, “My Sweet Lord” and “Forever”.The pallbearers will be Richard Wilson, John Wilson, David Wilson, William Wilson, Phillip Wilson and Jim Goeckel.Burial will be private at the family home.Delmar Jr. was born December 29, 1955 at Marysville, son of Delmar Sr. and Donna (Singleton) Wilson.  On May 22, 1973, he graduated from Marysville High School and on May 17, 1974, he graduated from North Central Kansas Area Vocational-Technical School.On July 5, 1975 he married Jean Ann Goeckel at St. John’s Catholic Church in Hanover, Kan.  To this union five children were born.Delmar retired from the Union Pacific Railroad after 40 years.  He enjoyed fishing, hunting, woodworking, helping his family, and spending time with his grandchildren.Survivors include his wife, Jean Ann; five children, Kevin (Scott) Wilson, Creston, Iowa, Kelly (Tony) Schroedl, Marysville, Kim (Dusty) Floyd, Beattie, Kan., Kris Wilson, Marysville, and Kyla (Jeff) Schlabach, Hanover, Kan.; mother, Donna Wilson, Marysville; siblings, Richard (Crystal) Wilson, Marysville, John (Bernie) Wilson, Marysville, Michael (Suzie) Wilson, Colorado, David (Kathy) Wilson, Marysville, William Wilson, Marysville, and Kathi (Larry) Novotny, Oketo, Kan.; and five grandchildren, Brandon, Katelyn, Ayden, Grady and Lucas.He was preceded in death by his father, Delmar E. Wilson, Sr., on September 24, 2005.Memorial contributions will be designated later and can be sent in care of Kinsley Mortuary in Marysville.
