Diana L. Palmer, 71, of Marysville, Kansas, passed away on August 15, 2025, at Community Memorial Healthcare in Marysville.

Friends are invited to sign the register book on Friday, August 22, from 4 to 9 p.m. at Kinsley Mortuary. The family will receive visitors from 6 to 8 p.m.

A funeral service will be held at 11 a.m., Saturday, August 23, at Marysville Methodist Church, with burial following in Marysville City Cemetery.

Diana was born November 4, 1953, at Maryville, Missouri, daughter of Harold H. and Charlotte (Osborn) Bracken. She attended a one room schoolhouse in rural Gentry County, Missouri. In 1971, she graduated from Benton High School in St. Joseph, Missouri.

After high school she began working for Veterans Affairs as a secretary in the physical therapy.

In April 1982, she married Michael Palmer at Las Vegas, Nevada. Shortly after their marriage, Michael took a job transfer and they moved to Beattie, Kansas. Diana stayed at home with their children, Dylan and Maryann, until the kids went to school. She then worked at Walmart and later became a Rural Mail Carrier until her retirement in 2018.

She loved spending time with her grandchildren and going on family vacations. She enjoyed spending time in her garden and volunteering at Helping Hands Food Pantry.

Diana served as the guardian of Pauline Joy Martin for over 20 years. Pauline lived at Twin Valley Developmental Services in Beattie and became a member of the Palmer Family. She spent much time with them.

Diana was preceded in death by her parents; brother, Harold R. Bracken; and Pauline Joy Martin.

Survivors include her husband, Michael; son, Dylan Palmer (Jessica) of Marysville and their children, Rowan and Ryland; daughter, Maryann Kabriel (Rich) of Marysville and their children, Nellie, Ross and Rhett; sister, Osa Ann Bracken and husband Gail Bowden of Topeka, Kansas; brother, Bill Bracken (Denise) of Stanberry, Missouri; and many beloved nieces, nephews and cousins.

A memorial fund has been established for Helping Hands Food Pantry. Contributions may be sent in care of Kinsley Mortuary, P.O. Box 147, Marysville, KS 66508.
