Elmer Henry Loges, 96, died Saturday, September 12, 2020 at Lindsborg, Kansas. Visitation will be Friday, September 18, 2020, from 12 to 8 pm at Hanover Mortuary in Hanover, KS. A graveside funeral service will be 10 a.m., Saturday, September 19 at Hanover City Cemetery, Hanover with Jill Duis officiating. The pallbearers will be Elmer's grandsons, Chane Helm, Andrew Loges, Kirk Loges, Kyle Black, Mark Woell, Jeff Peters. The honorary pallbearer is Chris Holland. Elmer Henry Loges was born on January 10, 1924 at Hanover to Henry and Anna (Rohlfs) Loges. Elmer loved traveling to the mountains. He sang solos for weddings and funerals with Ila Mae Nieman as his accompanist. He was active as a Hanover Hospital board member, President of the Hanover Co-op, and was on the church council at Zion Lutheran Church of Hanover. Preceding him in death was his wife of 69 years, Eileen Anne (Allerheiligen) Loges; his parents; sons, Michael Dean Loges and Gordon Gary Loges; brother, Orville Loges and his wife, Irma; sister, Mildred (Loges) Lohmeyer and her husband Art. Survivors include son, David (Kim) Loges, Loveland, CO; daughters, Cindy (Cal) Helm, Canton, and Kay (Randy) Goss, McPherson; daughter-in-law, Beverly Loges, Hanover; sister Mary Ann (Jay) Bohning, Camdenton, MO.; eight grandchildren and fifteen great-grandchildren. Also surviving are one niece, Sondra (Greg) Bohning-Pollack, and four nephews, Jim (Beth) Lohmeyer, Rick (Ann) Lohmeyer, Gregg (Melaine) Bohning, Gary Bohning, along with family and friends. A memorial fund has been established to Zion Lutheran Church. Contributions may be sent in care of the Hanover Mortuary.
