Ethan Everett Samuelson, 35, Marysville, passed away Tuesday, May 20, 2025 at his home.
A visitation will be held Tuesday, May 27, 2025 from 2 until 8 p.m. at Kinsley Mortuary with the family receiving friends from 5 to 7 p.m.
A funeral service will be held at 10 a.m., Wednesday, May 28, 2025 at St. Gregory's Catholic Church in Marysville. Father Quentin Schmitz will officiate.
Burial will be in St. Patrick's Catholic Cemetery, Beattie
Ethan was born March 24, 1990 to Kevin and Jodi (Spunaugle) Samuelson. He attended Marysville schools and graduated in May of 2008 from Marysville High School. Ethan was an active member of the forensics team and he enjoyed participating in M-Act plays, both on stage and behind the scenes. He then attended Emporia State University, where he met many of his closest friends.
Ethan had a passion for reading, music, graphic novels, board games, card games, Lego sets and online gaming with his friends. He enjoyed spending time with his family and often took trips to visit his friends. He was known for his wit and sense of humor which brought laughter and light to those around him – even during difficult times. His ability to make people smile, paired with his kind heart, was one of the many ways he made a lasting impact.
He was employed at Koch and Company in Seneca, KS.
Ethan was preceded in death by all his grandparents.
Survivors include his parents; and sister, Margo Samuelson, Salina.
Ethan will be deeply missed by all who knew him and will be lovingly remembered for the joy, humor and warmth he brought into their lives.
A memorial fund is established in his name and will be designated later by the family. Contributions may be sent in care of Kinsley Mortuary, Marysville, KS.
