Frederick Barry TruesdellBarry Truesdell, 89, Centennial, CO; passed away on Saturday, January 20, 2018.He is preceded in death by his loving wife of 61 years, Jean.Barry is survived by his five children, James (Diane) Truesdell; Kelly (Tom) Hartford; Arti (Derek) Jacobson; Shannon (Sean) Parish; and Nikki (Bill) Millis. He is also survived by his grandchildren: Ashley (Brian) Hopkins; Barry (Jolene) Teeple; Hannah (Nick) Jones; Tyler, Lyndsey and Keaton Truesdell; Shea and Regin Jacobson; Andrew, Katie and George Millis; Ian and Chloe Parish; great grandchildren Wyatt and Gideon Hopkins; and Emmett Teeple.Barry was born on April 12, 1928 in Los, Angeles, California, the son of Loretta and Frederick Truesdell.  He was raised in Marysville by Mr. and Mrs. Evelyn and Rudy Grieshaber alongside Ann and Carl Grieshaber, whom he affectionately referred to as his mom, pop, brother and sister.After Barry graduated from Marysville high school in 1946, he enlisted in the military. Following his service in the army signal corps, he attended Kansas State University and majored in industrial engineering. Barry then married Jean Gerardy of Marysville on June 24, 1951. He worked for the Union Pacific Railroad for over 30 years throughout Kansas, Nebraska and Colorado.Barry was a great sports enthusiast who enjoyed watching the Denver Broncos and Colorado Rockies but he was most passionate about the Kansas State Wildcats. He was also an avid card player who never passed up the opportunity for a game of gin rummy or spades.  Barry was a dedicated father and grandfather who was known and appreciated for his sense of humor, generosity and kindness. He is fondly remembered and greatly missed.A graveside memorial will be held on Saturday, May 26th, at 1:00 p.m. at Marysville City Cemetery.
