Georgianna was born October 12, 1952, New Bedford, Mass., to George and Irene (Rapoza) Costa.  On April 25, 1968, she was united in marriage to Philip Nickerson at Boston, Mass. She enjoyed being a military wife and traveling with her husband for twenty-two years.  They moved to Marysville in 2007.  She was a homemaker who enjoyed being with family and friends. Georgianna was an active member of Victory Baptist Church.  She loved the Lord and truly believed in Heaven.  Family get togethers, spending time with her grandchildren and great grandchildren were especially important to her.  She and Philip renewed their vows for their 50th Anniversary.  Her family and faith were her greatest joys in life. When her sister Nancy died in 1981, Georgianna happily accepted her three young daughters and selflessly raised them.  They are her three nieces, Dawn Kahakina, Caolinga, Calif., Misty Wren, Blue Rapids, Kan., and Heather DePriest, Ft. Riley, Kan. She like watching the Hallmark Channel, the New England Patriots, shopping online and playing Yahtzee.  She was preceded in death by her parents; sister, Nancy; son, Phil Nickerson; and great grandson, Owen. Survivors include her husband, Philip; daughter, Tammy Kieffer, Marysville; brothers, John, Davey and Raymond, New Bedford, Mass; sisters, Patricia, Dale, Debie, Shirley and Linda, New Bedford, Mass; and ten grandchildren and fifteen great-grandchildren. A memorial fund has been established to the Victory Baptist Church.  Contributions may be sent in care on Kinsley Mortuary.
