Grace M. Bruna, 73, of Hanover, KS, died March 13, 2023, at the Blue Valley Nursing Home in Blue Rapids, KS. Visitation was Friday, March 17, from 1 to 8 p.m. at the Hanover Mortuary. A funeral service was held at 10:00 a.m., Saturday, March 18, at St. John's Catholic Church in Hanover. Father Joseph Kieffer officiated. Janet Fritschi played the organ while the church choir sang “On Eagles Wings”, “I Am the Bread of Life” and “Amazing Grace.” Burial was in the Hanover City Cemetery. Grace was born April 16, 1949, at Odell, NE, daughter of August and Grace (Koch) Dusin. On September 5, 1970, she married Mike Bruna at St. John’s Catholic Church in Hanover. They were blessed with three children. The made their home in Hanover where she was a member of St. John’s Catholic Church and Altar Society. Grace was a homemaker, caretaker and did babysitting. She enjoyed watching her grandchildren and great-grandchildren. She was a great cook and would make and deliver cinnamon rolls. She was preceded in death by her parents; husband, Mike Bruna; daughters, Brenda Berg and Elaine Greenwood. Survivors include her son, Keith Bruna, Hanover; siblings, Gary (Nola) Dusin, August “Red” Dusin, Bob (Carolyn) Dusin, and Betty Rieth; sister-in-law, Connie Dusin, all of Washington, KS; five grandchildren, Jacob Greenwood, Victoria Fitzjurls, Hope Greenwood, Debbie Berg and Samantha Berg; and six great-grandchildren. A memorial fund has been established and will be designated later. Contributions may be sent in care of the Hanover Mortuary.
