Jack Ratliff, Jr.

Jack Ratliff, Jr., 71, of Beattie, KS, passed away October 7, 2023, at Community Memorial Hospital in Marysville, KS.

Private family services will be held at a later date.

Jack was born September 2, 1952, to Jack and Dorothy (Young) Ratliff, at Alliance, NE.

On September 2, 1984, he was united in marriage to Mary Fitzgerald at the United Methodist Church in Frankfort, KS. 

Jack worked for the Farmers Union Coop, Marietta, Blue Rapids Coop, Ruetti Seed Co. and Hometown Lumber.   

He enjoyed playing Cribbage, golfing and fishing.  Jack also liked to play guitar, do yardwork and gardening and canoeing.  He especially took pride in moving their house onto 13 acres and renovating it. 

He loved spending time with his family and friends and helping them in any way he could.  Jack made a special friendship with the Amish families and would help them by driving them places.

Jack was a member of the National Guard in Marysville and the Blue Rapids American Legion.

Preceding him in death were his parents; his children, Amber Dee and Josiah Robert; and sister-in-law, Kay.

Survivors include his wife, Mary; sisters, Diane (Lyle) Person, Omaha, NE and Karen Petch, Phoenix, AZ; brother, Robert (Cathy) Ratliff, Tucson, AZ ; and  grandchildren, Brendon and Arian; and several nieces and nephews.
