Janis always worked in the public. She worked at the Wagon Wheel, The Mary Marshall Manor until it was bought by the hospital, then she worked for the hospital. She finished her working career at Cambridge Place in Marysville in the dietary unit where she enjoyed cooking for the residents as much as she did for her family. In her younger days, she loved to swing dance at the Wagon Wheel and was very good at it.
