Jannett Elaine Argo, Lafayette, Ind., formerly of Vliets, died August 17, 2018.The family will receive friends at visitation Wednesday, August 22, from 5 to 7 p.m. at Kinsley Mortuary in Marysville.A funeral service will be held 2 p.m., Thursday, August 23 at the Winifred Baptist Church, Winifred.  Aaron Gee will officiate.  Paige Burton will play the organ.  Music will include “Because He Lives”.The pallbearers will be Brennan Argo, Alec Argo, Steve Argo, Josh Argo, Dave Argo and Kenny Burton.The honorary pallbearers will be Collin Argo, Justin Argo and Benjamin Toomer.Burial will be in the Vermillion Cemetery.Jannett Elaine (Potter) Argo was born February 8, 1939 in Perry, Iowa to Francis William Potter and Golda Gayloris (Powell) Potter.     Richard and Jannett met while attending Omaha Baptist Bible Institute in 1957.  After two years of college, they married on June 5, 1959.  They lived in Vliets, Kansas for several months and then moved to Council Bluffs, Iowa.  In April of 1965, they moved back to Vliets and Richard started his own business, Argo Construction Company.   They were members of Winifred Baptist Church and loved to sing about the Lord and teach children in Sunday School.  Jannett was a homemaker wife and mother of five children:  Patsy Argo of Lafayette, Indiana, Penny (Bob) Toomer of Grantsville, Utah, Richard (Cyndy) Argo of Waterville, Kansas, Terry (Marnie) of Seneca, South Carolina and Rochy (Kris) Argo of Lafayette, Indiana. She also has eleven living grandchildren: Bethany and Matt Champlin, Melissa and Bobby Woodfin, Ben and Amber Toomer, Heidi Toomer, Collin Argo, Justin Argo, Breslyn Argo, Brianne Argo, Brennan Argo, Alec Argo and Sydney Argo; and five great-grandchildren:  Talitha, Anna and Lucas Champlin and Austin and Elaina Woodfin.  She has one living sister, Ginger (Keith) Crum of Perry, Iowa.   Preceding her in death were her parents; her husband, Richard; brothers, Francis Gene and Marvin Dee; and two sisters, JoAnn Coil and Joyce Graham.A memorial fund has been established and will be designated later.  Contributions may be sent in care of Kinsley Mortuary.
