Jeanne C. Weichbrodt

Jeanne C. Weichbrodt, 87, Marysville, died Thursday, December 12, 2019 at Cambridge Place in Marysville. A graveside funeral service was held at 11:30 a.m., Saturday, December 14 at the Marysville City Cemetery.  Father Nathan Haverland officiated. The pallbearers were John Snellings, Robert Harris, Marshall Melcher, Curtis Rengstorf, John Luebcke and Matt Snellings. Jeanne was born March 30, 1932, in Hays, KS, to John and Desdia (Wickam) Leiker.  In 1952, she graduated from Marysville High School. On October 18, 1952, she married John Weichbrodt at the Marshall County Courthouse in Marysville. For thirty-three years, Jeanne worked in the laundry at Community Memorial Healthcare, a job she loved. She would have loved to stay longer, but she quit to care for her husband, who became ill.  Jeanne was a kind and loving person and friend. She enjoyed reading and watching television. She was preceded in death were her parents; husband, John in 2004; brothers, John, Morris, Eddy and an infant brother; and an infant sister. Survivors include a sister, Joyce Haffner, Newton; and good friends, John and Deb Snellings. A memorial fund has been established to Community Memorial Healthcare in Marysville.  Contributions may be sent in care of Kinsley Mortuary.
