Jeannine N. Slupianek, age 93, of Marysville, KS, passed away on April 13, 2026, at her home surrounded by family.
A private graveside service will take place at the Marysville City Cemetery on a later date.
Jeannine was born on December 3, 1932, at Edmundston, New Brunswick, Canada, to Aime and Marie (Pelletier) Nadeau. She married Gene Slupianek in Edmundston, N.B., Canada, on August 11, 1951. To this union, three sons were born.
After the birth of her boys, Jeannine worked at Southwestern Bell Telephone Company for ten years.
Jeannine had several interests including Bridge Club, Atheneum Club, and volunteering at the Koester House Museum. She also loved to play golf and dance. Jeannine was known as a "spitfire" and never knew a stranger. Her small stature did not match her big personality.
She is survived by her three sons, Scott Slupianek, Parkville, MO, Mark (Patty) Slupianek, Marysville, KS, and Eric (Karie) Slupianek, Richmond, MO; four grandchildren, Erin Edwards, Chris Slupianek, Nicole Simmons, and Noel Eberting; four step-grandchildren, Caleb, Karcyn, Grifyn and Maecyn Farrenkopf; and four great-grandchildren, Ashlyn and Jax Slupianek, and Chloe and Elise Eberting.
A memorial fund has been established to the Koester House Museum. Memorials may be sent in care of Kinsley Mortuary, P.O. Box 147, Marysville, KS 66508.
