Jeffrey Allan Chaulk

April 12, 1970 — October 15, 2025

Olathe, KS

Jeffrey Allan Chaulk, 55, of Olathe, KS passed away October 15, 2025.

Jeff was born on April 12,1970 in Hastings, Nebraska, to Jim and Sharon (Wiebold) Chaulk. He attended school in Marysville, KS at Marysville High School where he played football and basketball. Jeff attended Kansas State University, earning a bachelor’s degree in business in 1992 where he was a member of Sigma Phi Epsilon Fraternity. Jeff married Lori Lanier on February 8, 2003, in Overland Park, KS, moving to Olathe and building his life with her there. Jeff and Lori had three sons, Tyler, Thomas, and James, and one granddaughter, Spencer Rose.

Jeff was a sales professional for several national companies throughout his career, most recently with Alliance Shipping.

Jeff’s greatest blessing and joy was being a father to his three sons, and his unconditional love for them will endure forever.  He loved to coach the boys’ sports teams, including the Olathe Reds baseball team, the Olathe Little Ravens football team, and the Olathe Mountain Lions baseball team. Jeff was more than a coach; he was an encourager, a cheerleader on and off the field, and a constant in the lives of so many kids. Jeff was always on the sidelines or standing along the fence of any youth sporting event, even if his own children weren’t playing. He was a bonus dad to Tommy and Jimmy’s friends.

Jeff was a favorite Uncle to his many nieces and nephews near and far, always eager to play, and quick to rile them up with a Coke, candy, or a little cash for a treat. His support for them and all their activities knew no bounds. And to his family and many friends, he was always there – loyal, available, happy and fun to be with no matter the occasion.

Jeff collected friends like he collected golf balls. Jeff cherished his standing round of golf with his golfing buddies – Mike, Shane and Jim. Jeff’s crew could be found at one of the neighborhood establishments, where everyone knew “Jeff’s spot.” Jeff was a college football enthusiast, and anything but a handyman. However, he loved to think of himself as the supervisor to his friend Mike Keller who was responsible for the home improvement projects in the Chaulk home.

Preceding Jeff in death is his mother, Sharon. Survivors include his father, Jim; wife, Lori; stepson Tyler (28), and sons Tommy (20) and Jimmy (13); granddaughter Spencer Rose; sisters Jennifer (David) Wentz, Leawood, KS, Deborah (Steve) Blumer, Marysville, KS, and Rebecca (Rich) Edwards, Union Grove, WI, mother-in-law Jan Starling, Edgerton, KS; sister-in-law, Jennifer Grant; brother-in-law, Janson Lanier, and many beloved nieces and nephews.

A rosary service will be held at 10 a.m., Saturday, October 25 at St. Gregory the Great Catholic Church in Marysville, KS. A funeral service will follow at 10:30 a.m., Saturday, October 25 at St. Gregory the Great Catholic Church. Father Quentin Schmitz will officiate.
