Larry Dale Koll, 75, Marysville, died June 25, 2020 at the Community Memorial Healthcare in Marysville. Visitation will be Monday, June 29 from 10 a.m. to 9 p.m. at Kinsley Mortuary in Marysville. The family will receive friends from 5 to 7 p.m. A funeral service will be held at 10:00 a.m., Tuesday, June 30 at the First Christian Church in Marysville. Burial will be in the Marysville City Cemetery. Larry was born July 31, 1944 at Marysville to Dale and Uarda (Smith) Koll. He grew up near Marietta, KS, and attended Bommer School. In 1962, he graduated from Marysville High School and then attended Kansas State University. He served in the Kansas National Guard in Vietnam. Larry lived in Wichita and worked for Boeing before returning to Marysville and farming with his father. He was an agent for National Farmers Union Insurance Agency and in 1977 began working at the Marysville Hospital in administration until retiring. Larry continued to farm with his family until this last year. He was married to Charlene Pinkham. They later divorced. Two children were born to this union, Dawn and Tige. On December 27, 1975, he married Janice Gillette Hoffman at Lakewood, CO. Janice had a son, Mark, whom Larry raised as his own. Larry loved farming and working with his grandsons and having his dogs ride along in the tractors and combine. Larry and Janice enjoyed traveling the southwest United States in their motorhome. They would take along their Jeep and ATV’s and go four wheeling in Colorado. He also enjoyed crafting jewelry. He was a member of the First Christian Church in Marysville, Oketo Masonic Lodge and then the Marysville Masonic Lodge and American Legion. He also was a Rotarian where he served as President and received the Paul Harris Fellow Award. Survivors include his wife, Janice Koll; children, Dawn (Phil) Carvalho, Cincinnati, OH, Tige (Holly) Koll, Indianapolis, IN, and Mark (Renee) Hoffman, Marysville; six grandchildren, Aaron Hoffman, Evan Hoffman, Paige Gratzer, Lindsey Carvalho, Talon Koll and Keely Koll. He was preceded in death by his parents. A memorial fund has been established and will be designated later. Contributions may be sent in care of Kinsley Mortuary.
