Larry R. Kruse

Larry R. Kruse, 66, of Hanover, Kan., died April 11, 2018 at his home.Visitation was Friday, April 13, from 10 a.m. to 8 p.m. at the Hanover Mortuary.  The family received friends from 5 to 7 p.m.A private family funeral service was held Saturday and followed by burial in the Hanover Cemetery.  Rev. Rodney Fritz officiated.The pallbearers were Roger Hiesterman, Randy Hiesterman, Ryan Hiesterman, Kevin Champagne, Justin Kruse and Wayne Kruse,Larry was born December 23, 1951, at Odell, Neb., to Laverne and Verna (Burmann) Kruse.  In 1970, he graduated from Hanover High School.In 1981, he married Denise Goeckel.  To this union three sons were born, Brandon, Lance and Dusty.  They later divorced.He grew up on the family farm northeast of Bremen, Kan., with his siblings, Loren, Merlin, Harley, Ken and Arlene.  Larry worked at the Herkimer Coop, Landoll Corporation and Georgia Pacific.  He retired in January 2018.Larry enjoyed spending time with his grand dogs, two granddaughters, children and their spouses.He was preceded in death by his parents; brothers, Merlin and Loren; and sister-in-law, Berniece Kruse.Survivors include three sons, Brandon (Erin) Kruse, Lance (April) Kruse and Dusty (Kristin) Kruse; two granddaughters, Emalie and Kenna, all of Hanover; brothers, Ken (Kay) Kruse, Marysville, Kan., Harley (Kathy) Kruse, Herkimer, Kan.; sister, Arlene (Dale) Hiesterman, Washington, Kan.; and sister-in-law, Donna Kruse, Frankfort, Kan.A memorial fund has been established and will be designated later.  Contributions may be sent in care of the Hanover Mortuary.
