On January 6, 1951, they married in a small ceremony before he was to report to the service in Fort Bragg, N.C. After his two-year army assignment, Lloyde and Donna traveled around the various line jobs until he accepted a job as line foreman at the Axtell REC. After 29 years as foreman, he became manager of the Co-op for 16 years. Lloyde loved to hunt and fish, often with his old college friends. Archery was another favorite activity. After retirement Lloyde loved his flowers, garden, and crossword puzzles.
