Margaret L. Lange, 99, of Marysville, KS, died October 22, 2025 at Cambridge Place in Marysville.

A funeral service will be held at 10:30 a.m., November 29, at the Evangelical United Church of Christ in Marysville. Burial will follow in the Marysville City Cemetery.

Margaret was born November 13, 1925, at Beattie, Kansas, daughter of Ralph and Frieda (Blocker) Tangeman. The family moved a few times before settling in Marysville when Margaret was in the 2nd grade. She attended and graduated from Marysville High School in 1943. After high school, she worked at Exchange Bank of Schmidt & Koester in Marysville.

On November 24, 1946, she was united in marriage to Ernest Lange at the Evangelical United Church of Christ in Marysville. To this union five children were born. She stayed at home and cared for the children until they were all in school and then went to work for the U.S.D. 364 school system. She became the Supervisor of the school lunch program until retiring at age 65.

Margaret and Ernest were snow birds for many years and enjoyed spending the winters in South Texas. Dancing, camping, and traveling were among her favorite pastimes. She enjoyed playing Bridge card games with friends and in card clubs.

She was a lifelong member of the Evangelical United Church of Christ in Marysville.

Margaret was preceded in death by her parents; husband, Ernest Lange on December 5, 2014; two grandson, Brett Lange and infant Michael Lange; sisters and brothers-in-law, Marcia and Norbert Slupianek and Laura and Wayne Baker; and brother and sister-in-law, Jack and Eleanor Tangeman.

Survivors include her children, Steven Lange (Nancy) of Castle Rock, Colorado, Dennis Lange (Gail) of Mequon, Wisconsin, Susan Schmitz (Linus) of Edmund, Oklahoma, Martin Lange (Rosalie) of Sugarland, Texas, and Jim Lange (Kris) of Salina, Kansas; sister, Patricia Lemon (Larry) of Topeka, Kansas; seventeen grandchildren, thirty-two great-grandchildren and two great-great-grandchildren.

A memorial fund has been established Evangelical United Church of Christ or the Marysville Union Pacific Depot Preservation Society. Contributions may be sent to the care of Kinsley Mortuary, P.O. Box 147, Marysville, KS 66508
