Mark was born on July 21, 1961, at Hays, KS, to Robert “Bob” and Donna (Staab) Fisher. In 1979, he graduated from Marysville High School.

At an early age Mark spent time working with his father doing construction and during high school he worked at Downard’s Food Mart in Marysville.  In 1981, his first son, Michael, was born.  Mark and family moved to Easton, KS, where he got a job in the oil field.  Not long after two other children, Matt and Jaclyn, were born.  After moving back to Marysville, the family was blessed with three more children, Brett, Brandon and Daniel.

On June 18, 2016, Mark married Jodi A. (Rider) Rinderer.  This marriage added three more children, Jared, Blake and Chad.

Mark drove a truck before hiring on the Union Pacific Railroad in 1990.  He worked as a Locomotive Engineer until retiring in 2022.  After retiring, he kept busy by volunteering as a Park Attendant and Camp Host in the Curtis Creek area at Milford Lake.

He was a member of Immaculate Conception Catholic Church and Knights of Columbus in Minneapolis, KS.

Mark enjoyed watching the Kansas City Royals, Kansas City Chiefs and especially the Kansas State Wildcats.  He rarely met a person that he didn’t know.  As a loving husband, father, son, brother, and grandfather, spending time with his family brought him the most joy.  He loved to watch his grandkids perform or play sports.  He would constantly invite people to join him at the lake.  Mark always looked forward to his annual motorcycle trip with his sons.

Preceding him in death was his father, Robert; and sister, Carrie.
