October 27, 1958 — April 5, 2019

Mark McMahon, 60, of Marysville, Kan., died April 5, 2019. Visitation will be Wednesday, April 10, from 10 a.m. to 9 p.m. at Kinsley Mortuary in Marysville.  The family will receive friends from 5 to 7 p.m. A funeral service will be held at 11:00 a.m., Thursday, April 11 at St. Gregory's Catholic Church in Marysville.  Father Nathan Haverland will officiate. Mark was born October 27, 1958 at Seneca, Kan., to Robert and Wanda (Tarvin) McMahon.  In 1976, he graduated from Marysville High School.  In 1977, he was united in marriage to Cathy Kemp.  They had three children, Shawn, David and Heather.  They later divorced. Mark was meat cutter for over thirty years.  He worked at Jack & Jill’s, Downard’s, Kier’s Thriftway and Dank’s Broadway Market.  In 2007, he purchased The Mixer Liquor Store in Marysville. He enjoyed singing, hunting, fishing, 4-wheeling, animals and being in the country.  He was an avid Marysville High School Football fan and was always near the sidelines.  He enjoyed golfing and had two holes in one.  He volunteered with the local golf tournaments whenever needed. Mark was a member of the Marysville Volunteer Fire Department and Son of the American Legion.  He coached youth sports and umpired for many years. He was preceded in death by his parents; and brother, Robert “Bob” McMahon, Jr. Survivors include his three children, Shawn (Tobi) McMahon, David McMahon and Heather (Ben) Bussmann; friend, Vicky Gross; sister-in-law, Sarah McMahon; three grandchildren, James Bussmann, Elizabeth Bussmann and Bella Bussmann; three nieces; and liquor store dog, Hennessy. A memorial fund is established to Shriners Hospitals for Children in St. Louis.  Contributions may be sent in care of Kinsley Mortuary.
