Father Quentin Schmitz will officiate. Rosemary Forst will play the organ while the church choir sings. The pallbearers will be Quinton Clark, William Clark III, Larry Hayes, Ted Forst, Rusty Crownover and Tony Heward. Burial will be in St. Joseph Catholic Cemetery, Lillis, KS. Martha was born June 1, 1953 at Frankfort, KS, to Cyril Otto and Anna Barbara (Forst) Budenbender. She grew up in Frankfort and graduated from Frankfort High School in 1971. Martha would help at her father’s pool hall in Frankfort. She also worked at the Peckham Pharmacy in Frankfort. Martha loved to visit and joke with co-workers and customers. She would make sodas and milkshakes and help her future husband by “counting” while he tried to actually count pills. On September 3, 1976, she married Michael Kent Clark at St. Elizabeth’s Catholic Church in Blue Rapids, KS. This is when Martha “retired” and then stayed home to raise her family. Martha loved giving gifts to her family and friends and would load everyone with gifts at Christmas. She would guilt trip any of her family that missed a family reunion. She enjoyed playing cards but nothing more than giving a hard-fought game of Pinochle! She enjoyed going to German class with her good friend, Milford Drinkgern and in 1990, helped start the German Fest and served as Chairman in 2001. She also enjoyed going to see her children wherever they lived and to grandchildren’s ball games. Martha loved writing letters to friends and family and always was drawing pictures on the envelopes. She was devoted to her family genealogy and history. Martha was a member of St. Gregory’s Catholic Church and was a devout Catholic her entire life. She was a member of Altar Society over forty years, sang with the Adult Choir and was in charge of calling members to sing on Sundays and at funerals, and helped clean the church linens. Martha cherished praying the rosary daily. She loved life, never met a stranger, could be found in any store by following her laugh, but at the end of the day we all knew she was full of it! She was preceded in death by her parents; and infant daughter, Dodi Jean Clark. Survivors include her husband, Michael Kent Clark; three sons, Rory (Elisha) Clark, Vancouver, WA, Carson (Eimi) Clark, Olsburg, KS, and Sterling (Lindsey) Clark, Marysville; two sisters, Joan (Floyd) Boudreaux and Doris Budenbender; nine grandchildren, Ethan, Elias; Zach, Zoë, Maverick, Declan; Hunter, Zariah and ShayLee; and one great-grandchild, Marcus. A memorial fund has been established and will be designated later. Contributions may be sent in care of Kinsley Mortuary.
