Maureen J. Moser, 92, of Marysville, KS, died August 31, 2022, at Cambridge Place in Marysville. A funeral service will be held at 10:00 a.m., Tuesday, September 6, at the Evangelical United Church of Christ in Marysville. Rev. Julie Shields will officiate. Visitation will begin one hour prior to service time at the church. Deb Bruna will play the organ while Wayne Kruse sings “Amazing Grace” and “On Eagles Wings”. The pallbearers will be Jared Moser, Brandon Moser, Benjamin Moser, Trevor Moser, Ty Moser and Doug Grauer. Ashley Moser will be an honorary pallbearer. Burial will be in the Marysville City Cemetery. Maureen was born June 29, 1930, at Marysville, KS, daughter of Emil and Gladys (Chadwell) Grauer. In 1947, she graduated from Marysville High School. While working at the theatre in Marysville she met Benjamin. They were married on November 14, 1948, in Marysville. She took a job filling sewing machine orders at City Sewing. She later worked at Sunflower U.P. Federal Credit Union, Downard’s Grocery Store and Dank’s Grocery Store. Her grandchildren’s birthday parties were always a special event and she enjoyed hosting Thanksgiving for the Moser family. She and Ben spent many Memorial Day weekends camping at various Kansas lakes. They were avid fans and attendees of Kansas State football and basketball games with their family. She was always willing to lend a hand and adored her family, grandchildren and extended family. Maureen was a member of the Evangelical United Church of Christ where she served on the church council, Moose Club, Women’s Study Club, Women’s service team, two bridge clubs and the Marysville Country Club for many years. She was preceded in death by her parents; husband, Benjamin Moser, in 1992; brothers, Morris, Harold and Norman Grauer; sister, Waneta McMillan; and daughter-in-law, Alice Moser. Survivors include three sons, Brad Moser and Jeff (Lori) Moser, all of Topeka, KS, and Trent (Kelly) Moser, Marysville; six grandchildren, Jared Moser, Brandon (Marita Ortiz) Moser, Ashley (Ben) West, Benjamin (Kathleen) Moser, Trevor (Brooke) Moser and Ty Moser; and five great grandchildren and one on the way, Brynnlee, Beau, Henry and Elliott. A memorial fund has been established to the Evangelical United Church of Christ. Contributions may be sent in care of Kinsley Mortuary.
