Patricia Goodall

Patricia Irene “Pat” Goodall, 82, a longtime resident of Mackinaw, Illinois, passed away at 4:20 p.m. Saturday, July 18, 2026, at the Arc at Chillicothe, Illinois. Pat moved to Mackinaw in 1964.

Born December 2, 1943 in Marysville, Kansas to Thomas Lillis and Agnes LaVeta (Hennis) Barlow, she married Chester Arthur Childers on June 26, 1964 in Marysville, Kansas. She later married Robert William “Riverbottom Bob” Goodall on February 26, 1988 in Morton, Illinois. He died July 30, 2016 in Morton. She also was preceded in death by her parents.

Surviving are one daughter, Lisa Michelle Childers of Pennsylvania; one stepson, Mark William Goodall of Deer Trail, Colorado; one grandson, Jordan Childers of East Peoria, Illinois; one great-granddaughter, Kaylee Blake Childers; one brother, Thomas (Nancy) Barlow of Colby, Kansas and one sister, Margaret “Peggy” Barlow of Niles, Illinois.

Pat had worked for Carson, Pirie Scott & Co. She enjoyed the simple, enduring gifts of everyday life. Time spent with family and on the computer was important to her.

Her faith was at the center of her life. Pat was a member of Blessed Sacrament Catholic Church in Morton and was brought up in St. Gregory's Catholic Church in Marysville.

Her funeral Mass will be at 10:00 a.m. Friday, August 7, at St. Gregory’s Catholic Church in Marysville. Burial will follow in St. Gregory’s Cemetery in Marysville.
