Paul J. Kieffer

Paul J. Kieffer, 67, of Frankfort, KS, died September 26, 2020 at his home. Visitation will be held from 10 a.m. until 9 p.m., Wednesday, September 30 at Kinsley Mortuary in Marysville. A funeral service will be at 10:30 a.m., Thursday, October 1 at St. Gregory’s Catholic Church in Marysville. The pallbearers will be Rusty Wohlbrandt, Mike Maschmeier, Louis Svoboda, John Svoboda, Tony Monteil and Justin Gross. The honorary pallbearers will be Mike Kieffer and Steve Kieffer. Burial will be in the church cemetery. Paul was born April 30, 1953 at Concordia, KS, son of Lawrence Joseph and Sarah Catherine (Galyan) Kieffer. He attended school in Marysville. On May 20, 1978, he married Lori Waters at Vliets, KS. Three children were born to this union. They later divorced. Paul worked for the Union Pacific Railroad and later drove crew vans. He enjoyed going to the casino, Kansas Jayhawk Basketball, watching NASCAR and going to the drag races. He was preceded in death by his parents. Survivors include his children, Jeremy (Bridget) Kieffer, Olathe, KS, Brandi (Richard) Knowles, Frankfort, and Alicia (Steve) Vogler, Blue Rapids, KS; two grandchildren, Amelia and Grace; two brothers, Mike (June) Kieffer and Steve (Julie) Kieffer, both of Marysville; seven sisters, Monica Kieffer, Marysville, Ruth (Mike) Maschmeier, Marysville, Loretta (Richard) Bruland, Bellingham, WA, Patricia (Louis) Svoboda, Barneston, NE, Martha (Manuel) Gross, Overland Park, KS, Alice (Rusty) Wohlbrandt, Marysville, and Theresa (Chris) Durrill, Edgerton, KS. A memorial fund has been established and will be designated later. Contributions may be sent in care of Kinsley Mortuary.
