Ralph Paul Reust, Jr., 94, Frankfort, died Wednesday, April 11, 2018 at the Frankfort Community Care Home.Friends and family will observe graveside funeral service at 11 a.m., Thursday, April 19 at Mt. Calvary Cemetery, Frankfort with Father Daniel Schmitz officiating.The family and friends will gather at the Cigna Center following the service.Ralph was born on May 24, 1923, at Frankfort to Ralph “Pat” and Georgia (Wendling) Reust, Sr.   He graduated in 1941 from Frankfort High School.  He served in the U.S. Navy during WWII.  After his discharge, he attended KSU on the GI Bill, graduating in 1950 with a Bachelor’s Degree in business.On August 16, 1947, he married Bette Berneece Winters.  Ralph worked for the U.S. Post Office for 30 years and had Reust Retail Liquor/Pop Shop for 38 years.He was an avid outdoorsman, loved walking, searching for arrowheads, fishing, bow hunting and hunting.  He enjoyed watching his garden grow, going country cruising, and being with his family.  He also closely followed Kansas State sports and the Royals.Preceding him in death were his parents; wife, Berneece on December 7, 1988; and great granddaughter, Elin.Survivors include children, Steve (Beth) Reust, Frankfort, Tom Reust, Wellington, CO, Nan (Leo) Roeder, and Julie (Mike) Caffrey, both of Frankfort; sister, Ann Barrett, Frankfort, sister-in-law, Gretchen Winters, Frankfort; and eleven grandchildren and thirteen great grandchildren.A memorial fund is established and will be designated later by the family.  Contributions may be sent in care of Padden Funeral Chapel, Frankfort.
