Phyllis Annette "Cookie" Guenther, aged 83, of Marysville, Kansas, passed away February 25, 2025, at Cambridge Place in Marysville.
Born on October 24, 1941, in Stockton, California, she was the daughter of James Glenn and Gladys Annette (Hardy) Merrihew. Phyllis dedicated her early life to Stockton until she made the move to Marysville in 2006.
She is survived by her three loving sons: Brian (Merry) Guenther of Marysville, James (Mel) Guenther of Stockton, California, and Jeffrey Scott Guenther of Kansas. Phyllis was a proud grandmother to fourteen grandchildren, and she also leaves behind many great-grandchildren and two great-great-grandchildren.
Phyllis was preceded in death by her parents, her beloved husband Jack Melvin Guenther, who passed away in 2000, and her siblings: Art Merrihew, James Merrihew, Carol Cannon, and Evelyn Seay.
Phyllis volunteered as a paraeducator at her children's school. She treasured the time spent with her grandchildren and enjoyed playing with her dogs and participating in bingo games.
