Ralph N. Wienck, 78, of Marysville, Kansas, passed away on January 1, 2026, surrounded by his family at Cambridge Place Senior Living in Marysville.
A Celebration of Life will be held from 4:00 to 7:00 p.m. on Friday, January 9, at the American Legion in Marysville.
Ralph was born on April 23, 1947, in Marysville, the son of Edgar and Darlene (Bargman) Wienck. He graduated from Barnes High School in 1965. In November of 1978, he married Sarah J. Setzer at St. Peter’s Lutheran Church south of Barnes. From this union, five children were born: Stacy, Jenny, Emily, Amanda, and Cory.
Ralph began his working years at the Farmers Cooperative before becoming an over-the-road truck driver. Over the years, he also worked for Georgia Pacific, Precision Truss, and Rail Crew Express. He was known for his strong work ethic and willingness to help wherever he was needed.
Above all else, Ralph loved his family and would do anything to help anyone. He truly had a heart of gold and was cherished by all who knew him.
He was preceded in death by his father, Edgar Wienck; stepfather, Ross Savage; mother, Darlene Savage; and sisters, Jan Baker, LaDonna Hornkohl, and Patricia Savage.
Survivors include his wife, Sarah Wienck; five children, Stacy Allgood of Beatrice, Nebraska, Jenny (Shawn Snoe) Behrens of Marysville, Emily (Kevin) Bray of Olathe, Kansas, Amanda Wienck and Cory Wienck, both of Marysville; seven grandchildren, Triston (Callie) Hormann, Shalee Hormann, Kylie Behrens, Macy Behrens, Myah Reaves, Hunter Bray, Gracie Snellings, and Rylee Snoe; three great-grandchildren, Kambria Schultz, Lillyan Hormann, and Andee Jo Hormann; sisters, Beth (Randy) Meyer of Palmer and Sue Savage Ownbey of Illinois; many nieces, nephews, and cousins; and his faithful puppy, Roxie.
A memorial fund has been established and will be designated later. Contributions may be sent in care of Kinsley Mortuary.
